We have a large, very active youth group at Goldtown. By pouring our life and love into our youth we believe we are growing the next generation of the church. Our youth group is a great place to belong. In addition to weekly activities and a good helping of fun, we emphasize a personal relationship with Christ, service, friendship and spiritual growth. We know that among our exciting Sunday School Classes, monthly youth services, annual teen retreat, musical choirs for various ages, drama team, puppet team, handbell choirs, Children’s Churches, activities and events, there is something for students of all ages. We can’t wait to meet you!
GCC Kids is our newest Children’s Church ministry for children in Kindergarten – 5th Grade. Held in the Outreach Center during morning worship on the first, fourth and fifth Sundays a month, children will participate in praise and worship, skits, bible stories, short videos, games, and a call to action. This is a fun-interactive ministry that will teach your children about the bible and help grow their relationship with Jesus. It is directed by Jessica Stewart and she welcomes volunteers at anytime.
Utilizing a black light and white gloves paired with music, Hands To Praise creates skits through hand and finger placement forming shapes ranging from religious symbols and animals to letters of words or names. This ministry is open to any student in Middle or High School. Directed by Meredith Koontz and Kelley Harper, Hands To Praise performs several times throughout the year.
There is no other ministry quite like The Lord’s Hand Puppet Team. Puppets are effective in reaching, teaching, and entertaining audiences of all ages, and a great way to teach children about the Bible. These fun, colorful, animated characters live in an imaginary world, but they can express, talk and sing about important Biblical messages. Directed by Judy Taylor, The Lord’s Hands Puppet Team is open to Middle and High School children and they welcome new Puppeteers at any time.
The Heart to Hand Ministry is for anyone who is willing to trust God to provide an item that is not in their budget at this time. If you have a need or an item to offer, please contact Susie Jones. All needs will be kept confidential if you wish.
Agapeland (Land of Love) is a Children’s Church for kids aged 3 years through 1st Grade and is held on the last Sunday of the month. Directed by Judy Taylor and Tiffany Johnson, they welcome volunteers of all ages.
Pioneer Clubs is held every Wednesday evening in the Outreach Center. It is an exciting ministry for children between the ages of 4 years old – 5th grade and runs throughout the school year. If your child is interested in participating in Pioneer Clubs, please see Becky Stricklen or Pastor Jimmy. Click HERE for more information.
Ushers greet worshipers as they arrive for services, help with seating, collect the offerings and assist with parking. Don’t hesitate to ask the Ushers to help navigate your visit or get better connected at Goldtown.
